Ayamase stew originates from Western Nigeria and is commonly eaten with a locally grown rice called Ofada rice. Ofada stew is one of those delicious native savoury dishes that packs a major punch as it is flavoured with smoked died shrimp, and fermented locust beans (iru). Main ingredients: locust beans, Habanero Green pepper, palm oil, assorted meats, and Afro spices.
